EDUCATIONAL NOTICE ON COMMON ENTRANCE EXAMINATION FOR SELECTION OF CANDIDATES
FOR ADMISSION INTO B.Sc. MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY AND DIPLOMA IN PARAMEDICAL COURSES IN THE INSTITUTES OF ASSAM UNDER SRIMANTA SANKARADEVA UNIVERSITY OF HEALTH SCIENCES (SSUHS) INCLUDING INSTITUTES RUN BY PRIVATE BODIES
The Common Entrance Examination (CEE) for selecton of candidates for admission into B.Sc. Medical Technology and Diploma in Paramedical Courses in the Institutes of Assam under Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences (SSUHS) for the session 2023-24 is going to be held on 20th August, 2023. Online Application Forms shall be available on University website: click hear from 17- 07-2023 to 05-08-2023. The online application form must be filled up after carefully going through the instructions given along with the form
A non-refundable examination fee of Rs. 2000/- (Rupees Two thousand only) is required to be paid through the Payment gateway available on online application page and University website [Application Fee for CEE - (PM), 2023 (Non-Refundable)]. Above Examination fee is exempted to PwD (Divyang) category of candidates having disability of 40% and above.

- The Entrance Test is going to be held on 20-08-2023 at Guwahati, Dibrugarh, Silchar, Jorhat,Barpeta, Tezpur and Diphu.
- Admit Cards will be available online at click here from 14-08-2023 which can be downloaded after log in.
- Candidates are strictly advised to keep record of the Application Number and Password used
1. The Entrance Examination shall be held on 20th August, 2023 (From 10 AM to 1 PM)
2. There shall be 1 (one) paper consisting of 100 objective type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) for Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English.
3. Questions will be of HS (10+2) Science standard.
4. Distribution of marks will be: Biology-25 marks, Physics-25 marks, Chemistry-25 marks & English-25 marks.
5. Merit shall be prepared based on the total marks obtained by each candidate in all the subjects ie. Biology, Physics, Chemistry & English. The marks obtained by each candidate in each subject shall also be shown in the said list.
If two or more candidates secure the same marks in the Common Entrance Examination, the inter-se merit of such candidates shall be determined in order of preference as follows:
- Candidate securing more marks in Biology in Common Entrance Examination.
- Candidates securing more marks in Chemistry in Common Entrance Examination. Candidates securing more marks in Physics in Common Entrance Examination d. Candidates securing more marks in English in Common Entrance Examination.
- If it further tallies then marks obtained in Biology, then Chemistry, then Physics, then English of qualifying examination shall be considered at the time of counselling
Technology and Diploma In Paramedical Courses will be as follows:
- General (UR/EWS)-50 Percentile
- SC/ST/OBC-40 Percentile
- UR-PWD-45 Percentile
- If seats remain vacant, the minimum percentile will be reassessed by Director of Medical Education, Assam before second counselling.
- 50% of seats in B.Sc. Medical Technology and Diploma In Paramedical Courses are to be kept reserved under Management Quota for Private Institution provided the candidate secures the minimum cut off score.
- The Entrance Examination fee to be paid by the candidate will be Rs. 2000/- each candidate. 10. The Entrance Examination will be conducted in the following zones:
a. Guwahati b. Dibrugarh c. Silchar d. Jorhat e. Barpeta f. Tezpur and g. Diphu
The eligibility criteria for appearing in the entrance test and for admission into B.Sc. Medical
Technology and Diploma In Paramedical Courses are as follows:
- Applicant must be a citizen of India.
- Be a Permanent Resident of Assam and must furnish a Certificate to this effect for admission into Govt. Institutes. The provision of Permanent Resident Certificate shall not be applicable to the Sons/Daughters of the employees of the Govt. of Assam.
- The minimum qualification for selection of the candidates is H.S.S.L.C (Science) (10+2) (in the year 2023 or earlier) or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology with a minimum of 45% marks in case of General Candidates and 40% for OBC/MOBC/SC/ST(P) and ST(H) candidates.
- Candidate must be a minimum of 17 years on 31" December of the year in which admission is sought.
- Reservation of seat: There shall be reservation of seats for SC/ST(P)/ST(H)/OBC/MOBC/TGL/EX- TGL/EWS/PWD (Divyang) category from the available seats as per Govt norms.
IMPORTANT: It is the responsibility of the applicant to furnish all information correctly. Any information given by the applicant if found to be false or any ineligibility criteria detected at any stage later on shall make him/her liable to be disqualified from the Entrance Examination with all its associated consequences.
A candidate who desires to be considered under reserved category shall have to furnish original certificate of the concerned category from the Competent Authority at the time of Counselling.
A candidate applying under PWD (Divyang) Category will have to produce applicable Certificate from the State Level Medical Board/District Level Medical Board as constituted in persuance of Social Welfare Departments Notification No. SWD.181/96/75 dated 21-06-1990.
As the form is to be submitted online, the candidates are not required to send any
document to the University. All necessary verification/scrutiny of the related documents of the candidates regarding eligibility, reservation etc. will be done at the time of counselling by the concerned authority.
Candidates are strictly advised to keep record of the Application Number and Password used by them while submitting the online form, without which they will not be able to download Admit Cards.
