In consonance with the directions of Govt. of Assam vide No.HLB.492/2018/120, dated 24-02-2021, e-File No. 197726/20, dated 01-11-2022 and No.DME/SSUHS/410/2010/7800, dated 10-04-2023 in regard to admission of students into B.Sc. Nursing course in the institutes affiliated to Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences (SSUHS) being run under both Govt. and Private sector, the following regulations are hereby notified for strict adherence by all stakeholders.
1. All admissions into B.Sc. Nursing course in the institutes affiliated to Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences including Private sector will be through a Common Entrance Examination to be conducted by SSUHS in order to enhance the quality of nursing education in the state of Assam.
2. The minimum qualifying criteria / cut off score in the Entrance Examination to become eligible for admission into B.Sc. Nursing course will be as follows:
If seats remain vacant the minimum cut off score will be re-assessed before 2nd counselling by the competent authority.
3. 25% of B.Sc. Nursing seats in the Private Institutes will be kept reserved under Management Quota, provided the candidate secures minimum cut off score as per Govt. direction conveyed in letter e-File No.197726/20, dated 01-11-2022
4. If any Institute is found to have admitted students who do not fulfil the above norms, stringent disciplinary proceedings will be initiated against such Institute for disobeying or violating the notified regulations and such students will not be allowed registration by the University and will not be regarded as eligible to appear any University examination of B.Sc. Nursing course.
The Common Entrance Examination (CEE) for the session 2023-24 will be conducted by SSUHS in the month of June, 2023 and last date of admission for the session will be 30th September, 2023 as per Notification of Nursing Council of India vide F.No.22-10/NEET/2018-19-INC, dated 06/04-2023.
